Did you know that kids can make their own websites? Here are some creative sites that kids of all ages have made! If you like their sites, be sure to sign their guestbooks and let them know!

WANT TO ADD YOUR SITE TO THIS PAGE? E-MAIL ANGEL!

All of these kids created their own websites! You can make your own website too!

One way to make your own website is to use host site that lets you cut and paste your html. A host site like this does the hardest part for you. Here are a fewhost sites that I know of.

TRIPOD (This is the one I use, and I think it's the best!)
GEOCITIES (another popular one, although you will have to download something to your computer)
MATMICE (This one is JUST for kids!)

If you want to try to learn HTML, here is a simple article that will walk you through it: MAKE A WEBSITE

If you make a website, please be careful about giving out your e-mail address. Many of the kids listed on this site have their e-mail address on their site. If you are a kid, you should talk to a responsible adult such as your parent or teacher about whether you should make your e-mail address public. If you want to give people a way to contact you without giving out your e-mail, it might be easier to use a guestbook or a message board on your site.

Whatever you do, please follow these safety rules as provided by SafeKids.com.

Kids' Rules for Online Safety

1.

I will not give out personal information such as my address, telephone number, parents’ work address/telephone number, or the name and location of my school without my parents’ permission.

2.

I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable.

3.

I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents. If my parents agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and bring my mother or father along.

4.

I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents.

5.

I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do I will tell my parents right away so that they can contact the service provider.

6.

I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online, and appropriate areas for me to visit. I will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission.

7.

I will not give out my Internet password to anyone (even my best friends) other than my parents.

8.

I will be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is against the law.
